Hip-Flexor Lunge
Why this one

Sitting keeps the hip flexors short all day, and short hip flexors quietly tug the low back into an ache. Lengthening them relieves that pull at its source.

How to do it

Step your right foot back into a shallow lunge, back heel lifted. Tuck your pelvis under to open the front of the right hip. Hold, then switch.

Keep in mind

Tuck the pelvis to feel the front hip release.

Every move: lightly lift your pelvic floor — a gentle lift, never a clench — and breathe slow and full (hold the stretches for about 5 easy breaths, at least 30 seconds). New to the lift? →
