Every session at GLOW is one to one or duet. There is no group class, no set routine, and no plan written before you walked in.
In a class the work is built for the room. Here it is built for you, and it changes as you change. If something is not working halfway through, we do something else.
I watch how you move and choose what you need that day. Sometimes the exercise is the test. I will give you something specific because I want to see something specific, and what it shows me decides what comes next.
We talk first. I watch how you stand and how you move, and I ask what has been bothering you. Then we start gently.
You do not need to be flexible, strong, or know anything about Pilates to begin. You do not have to arrive ready. That is the whole point of arriving.
Reformer, Stability Chair, Cadillac, Ladder Barrel, Tower, Foot Corrector and Matwork. The springs let me take weight off a movement until you can find it, or add load when you are ready.
Which piece we use depends on what I see, and most sessions move across more than one.
Most of the women who come to me are somewhere between forty and eighty. Some have never exercised. Some are coming back after years away. Both are a fine place to start.
Sessions are available in the studio in Ridgewood, or virtually over Zoom or FaceTime.
