Forward Fold
The Work · Move 11 of 14

Why this one
Folding forward releases the entire back line at once — spine, hamstrings, and neck — all of which stiffen from hours held upright in a chair.
How to do it
Hinge forward from the hips and let your torso drop over your legs with soft knees. Let your arms hang heavy and your neck release completely.
Keep in mind
Soft knees keep it easy on the low back.
Every move: lightly lift your pelvic floor — a gentle lift, never a clench — and breathe slow and full (hold the stretches for about 5 easy breaths, at least 30 seconds). New to the lift? →
