Heel-to-Toe Walk
The Work · Move 5 of 11 · 10 steps

Why this one
Walking heel-to-toe narrows your base of support and trains the steadiness that keeps you sure on stairs, curbs, and uneven ground.
How to do it
Along a counter, place one foot directly in front of the other so the heel touches the toe. Walk slowly forward, one careful step at a time.
Keep in mind
Eyes forward, not down. Slow is the whole point.
Every move: lightly lift your pelvic floor — a gentle lift, never a clench — and breathe slow and full (hold the stretches for about 5 easy breaths, at least 30 seconds). New to the lift? →
