Berry Vanilla Protein Smoothie
From The Kitchen
Creamy, berry-sweet, and genuinely filling. The protein and yogurt turn this from a snack into something that actually keeps you satisfied.
Scale
Scaled from the original recipe, sizing up or down is proportional, so taste and adjust the salt, acid & spice.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 cup frozen mixed berries
- ½ banana
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- Ice, if desired
Method
- Place all ingredients in a blender.
- Blend until smooth, adding a little more almond milk for a thinner consistency.
Storage: Best enjoyed right away. If you must, keep it in a sealed jar filled to the top for a few hours and shake before drinking.
Serve it with
- A fast, filling breakfast
- Post-workout recovery
- An afternoon that actually holds you
Gina's tip
Add a big handful of spinach for extra greens, the berries hide it completely, so you won't taste a thing.
Coach's Note
A smoothie with real protein in it is one of the easiest ways to start the day strong, the kind of breakfast that keeps you steady instead of hungry an hour later.
I hope this recipe finds a place in your kitchen as it has in mine. Enjoy!
