The Kitchen
Movement was my first passion — I grew up dancing and moving my body, and I never really stopped.
Food came the harder way. At seven I was diagnosed with gastritis, and a few years later with IBS. So from early on, I had to pay attention to how what I ate actually made me feel. In my twenties I leaned into it properly — acupuncture, massage, a more active life of dance, yoga and meditation — and at twenty-six I got serious about clean, organic eating. For me, that's what finally turned things around.
Somewhere along the way, learning to read my own body became my life's work. For over thirty years I've helped women of every age and every walk of life find their own balance — in how they move, eat, think, and live. Because the one thing I know for certain is this: there's no single right way. There's only what's right for you.
That's what this space is. The Kitchen is everything I wish someone had taught me years ago — how I cook, how I stock a kitchen, how I shop, and the small, simple habits that make eating well the easy thing instead of the hard one.
It's my honor to have you here. My hope is that you leave with a good sense of what works for you. Take what serves you, and leave the rest.
I'm always here for your questions. And for those who'd like to go deeper, I open small private groups from time to time — a few women, over Zoom, finding their balance together. Reach out for details.

45 lessons →Ingredient Library
One page per ingredient — salmon, avocado, olive oil, chickpeas, eggs, feta, lentils, oats. Benefits, how to buy it, how to store it, how to use it, and the recipes it lives in.
29 ingredients →Nutrient-Dense
A lot of nourishment in a small package — chia and basil seeds, hemp, flax, spirulina, cacao and matcha, and how to actually use them.
Ready →Choosing Well
The stories behind the label — grass-fed and pasture-raised, which eggs, sheep vs. cow dairy, wild vs. farmed fish, and how to read a package in sixty seconds.
Ready →Seasonal
What's at its best right now. Spring, summer, fall and winter — how to cook with what's actually in season.
Ready →In the Kitchen
Stock it, set it up, prep it once — the groundwork everything rests on.
Kitchen Basics
What's always in my pantry, fridge and freezer — oils, vinegars, spices, grains, beans, nuts, seeds, herbs. The stock that makes eating well the easy option.
Ready →Kitchen Setup
Stocking a healthy kitchen, the tools worth owning, storage, buying in bulk, and the weekly reset. Drawn from Eat Clean, Live Free.
Ready →Set the Week
A calmer Sunday prep — get your fridge ready and the whole week cooks itself. Free-style, family-friendly, with a checklist you can return to.
Ready →Cook
Protein-forward, doable, and built from pieces you've already prepped.
Recipes
Protein-forward and doable. Breakfasts, build-a-bowl lunches, salads, seafood, chicken, beef, sides and something sweet — every one with its protein per serving.
Ready →Grains & Legumes
How to cook the bases that anchor everything — brown rice, quinoa, farro, cauliflower rice, lentils and beans. Whole, real, and quietly full of protein.
Ready →Fermented
An old, simple craft — salt, time and good bacteria. Carrots, ginger kraut, fennel sauerkraut and sour dill pickles, plus how to buy the living kind.
Ready →Fruit Spreads
Mostly-fruit jams set with chia, not sugar — strawberry-rhubarb, orange marmalade, fig-balsamic and more. Sweetened only to taste.
Ready →Sheet Pan Suppers
One pan, one formula — protein, vegetables, seasoning, oven, time. Twelve suppers you can make ahead and reheat, so a long day still ends in a real dinner.
12 suppers →GLOW Bowls
Base, vegetables, protein, healthy fat, dressing. Choose one from each and lunch makes itself. This one might become the signature.
8 bowls →Drinks & Hydration
Not the plate — what you sip. Hydration is the quiet foundation everything else rests on.
Hydration
The quiet foundation. How much water you actually need, what counts toward it, and why filtered is the clean choice. Drink up.
Ready →Drinks & Juices
Fresh juices, smoothies and warm drinks — green juice, beet-berry, carrot-orange-ginger. And why a little filtered water stretches a juice and softens its sugar.
Ready →Infused Waters
The prettiest way to drink more water — cucumber-mint, lemon-basil, citrus-berry. Beautiful on a table, and people gravitate to them like magnets.
Ready →Tonics & Shots
The little “I feel something coming on” helpers — ginger-lemon, fire cider, a honey-turmeric bedtime tonic, an electrolyte lemonade. Small pours, big comfort.
Ready →Gather & Enjoy
Because food is pleasure, not a project.
The Boards
Gather round — situational boards for real life: Sunday Supper, Movie Night, Poolside, Girls' Night, plus regional spreads like Italian antipasti and Spanish tapas. Assembly, not cooking.
Ready →The Slow Finish
How a good meal should end — a bowl of fruit and a cup of herbal tea, a warm bath, an early night. The small rituals that turn dinner into rest.
Ready →Gina's Tips
Two-minute reads where my personality comes out — why salt matters, why you rest meat, why herbs go in at the end, and the little habits that quietly make you a better cook.
Ready →Eating well begins before the first bite
So much of how we eat is really about how we feel — rushed, frazzled, reaching for whatever's fastest. That's the quiet reason I built SOVA: a few settled breaths before a meal change everything that follows.
- Today — arrive in your body before you sit down to eat.
- Companion — process a craving or a hard day, instead of feeding it.
- Pages — set the mental clutter down before dinner.
- The House — a calm room to step into while the kettle boils.
