The Glide
Why this one

This one’s from my Callanetics work — slow, deep, and steady. It builds real strength in the inner thighs, glutes, and legs, which matters so much for carrying now and for delivery.

How to do it

Feet a comfortable width apart (not too wide), toes turned out, a hand on a wall or chair. Glide straight down into a sitting position, then rise slowly only halfway back up — and glide down again. Slow and steady, staying in the lower range. Build toward 100; start with 50.

Keep in mind

No bouncing — a smooth glide down, halfway up, and down again. Not too wide; if your knees complain, bring the feet a little closer or don’t go as deep. As you rise, gently draw up through your pelvic floor — a soft lift, never a clench.

Every move: lightly lift your pelvic floor — a gentle lift, never a clench — and breathe slow and full (hold the stretches for about 5 easy breaths, at least 30 seconds). New to the lift? →
