Single Leg Stretch

Starting position

Lie on your back, spine and pelvis are neutral. Upper torso is in flexion up off the mat, right leg bent in toward the torso with the right hand on the lower right leg, left hand is in the inside thigh of the right leg. Left leg is lengthened on the mat, and toes are pointed.

How to do it

Inhale: Lift the left leg up around 2 feet off the mat.

Exhale: Lengthen through the spine, and engage the abdominals. Maintaining neutral spine and pelvis, begin to switch legs, keeping the hand position of leg in toward the torso + hand on lower leg + opposite hand on inner thigh. Repeat with an inhale drawing the knee in toward the torso, as the opposite leg lengthen as you exhale to transition to other leg.

Repeat 8 - 10 sets

The practice beneath it all

When the mind needs somewhere to land
