The Return

What happens when the season starts asking for you again.

Every October the calendar fills back up. School, work, the light going earlier, everyone needing something. This issue is about the thing that quietly disappears first, which is usually whatever you were doing for yourself. Not a plan to do more. Just a few ways to keep hold of what you had. Gina

The Return, The Way Digest, Issue No. 02

The busiest seasons are exactly the ones where you get handed back to everyone else, one small thing at a time.

Ask Gina

“Every fall I start strong and by November I have stopped. How do I keep it going this time?”

Because you are building it for the version of you who has time, and she does not exist in October. Build it for the busiest version of you instead. If the plan only works on a good week, it is not a plan, it is a hope. Ask what you could keep on your worst week, then make that the whole commitment. Ten minutes you actually do beats forty you keep rescheduling. The women who are still going in February did not have more discipline. They just asked less of themselves and never stopped.

One Last Thing

A small step toward your leap

October is the month everything starts asking for you again. The calendar fills, the light goes, and the first thing to quietly disappear is whatever you were doing for yourself.

That is the moment worth noticing. Not because you should push harder, but because it is exactly when women hand themselves back one small piece at a time and call it being busy.

The pieces in this issue are the how. The Leap is the decision underneath them, the one you keep circling and have not quite made.
