The Saw
Why this one

A seated twist that wrings out the waist — rotating and reaching past the opposite foot works the obliques through their full range.

How to do it

Sit tall with your legs wide and arms reaching out to the sides. Twist toward one leg and reach the opposite hand past the little toe as the other arm reaches back. Return to center and switch sides.

Keep in mind

‘Saw’ past the little toe, reaching a little further on each exhale. Sit up tall between sides.

Every move: lightly lift your pelvic floor — a gentle lift, never a clench — and breathe slow and full (hold the stretches for about 5 easy breaths, at least 30 seconds). New to the lift? →
