Extended Side Angle
Why this one

Bending the front knee deepens the stretch along the entire top side — from the outer hip all the way to the fingertips — while building strength in the legs.

How to do it

From a wide stance, bend the front knee over the ankle. Rest the front forearm on the thigh and reach the top arm up and over the ear, making one long diagonal line from the back foot to the fingertips. Switch sides.

Keep in mind

Press the back foot down and reach the top arm long — feel the whole side open.

Every move: lightly lift your pelvic floor — a gentle lift, never a clench — and breathe slow and full (hold the stretches for about 5 easy breaths, at least 30 seconds). New to the lift? →
