Sea Salt vs Table Salt

The short answer

Reach for a good sea salt — like Celtic or Himalayan — and, more importantly, cut back on the hidden sodium in processed foods.

The difference

Table salt is heavily processed down to plain sodium chloride. Good sea salts — Celtic, Himalayan pink — are dried by sun and wind and keep trace minerals, with a rounder, less harsh flavor. Used in moderation, they're a nicer choice.

The bigger lever

Honestly, the salt in your shaker isn't really the problem — the sodium hiding in processed and packaged foods is. Cook more from whole ingredients and you quietly take back control of how much you're getting.

Use it well

Season as you cook, taste, and adjust. A little good salt is what makes real food taste like itself — it's a tool, not a villain.

Gina's tip

Switch your everyday shaker to a good sea salt, then put your real energy where it counts: eating fewer processed foods, where most sodium quietly hides.
