The Long Sweep
Sideline Series · Move 7 of 16 · 10 each side

Why this one
The front-and-back sweep trains hip control while the torso stays quiet — balance and stability for a shifting center of gravity.
How to do it
Lift the top leg to hip height. Kick it forward in front of you with the toe pointed, then sweep it back past the body into a gentle extension, flexing the foot as it goes. Keep the torso completely still. Switch sides.
Keep in mind
Point the toe as you kick forward; flex the foot as you reach back into extension. Move only from the hip — the torso stays quiet.
Every move: lightly lift your pelvic floor — a gentle lift, never a clench — and breathe slow and full (hold the stretches for about 5 easy breaths, at least 30 seconds). New to the lift? →
