Movement · Post-Walk Stretch
Hip-Flexor Lunge
The Work · Move 5 of 8 · 30–35 sec each side

Why this one
The front-hip muscles work hard to lift each leg and shorten over a long walk. Opening them restores an upright, easy posture and protects the low back.
How to do it
Step your left foot forward into a comfortable lunge, back leg long. Lower your hips and tuck your pelvis slightly until you feel the front of the right hip open. Chest tall. Switch sides.
Keep in mind
Tuck the pelvis to deepen the front-hip stretch.
Every move: lightly lift your pelvic floor — a gentle lift, never a clench — and breathe slow and full (hold the stretches for about 5 easy breaths, at least 30 seconds). New to the lift? →
