Movement Through Pilates... A Universal Language
Movement is a language every woman shares — and Pilates speaks it beautifully, building strong bodies, calmer minds, and real joy.
Women. No two are the same. We’re the inspiration for poetry — and the subject of many a coaching book written for men. My passion for fitness and my years of teaching Pilates — along with a host of other effective movement styles — give me the chance to teach and truly know so many women in all their diversity. And always, our common denominator is exercise.
Movement creates shifts… something we all feel, something from which there’s no turning back.
The benefits are just too great. I honor Pilates, and again and again I see how movement provides:
- Strong, powerful bodies
- Relaxation and stress reduction — leading to mental acuity, creativity, and the ability to solve problems.
- Mood elevation — love that serotonin.
- Youthfulness — want to keep up with your kids? Work out.
- A stronger immune system — and real disease prevention.
- A body you love — those skinny jeans are fabulous.
- Joint flexibility
- A daily sense of accomplishment — whatever the day brings, you’ve done something wonderful for yourself.
At the end of the day, nothing compares to elevation, empowerment, and endorphins — the timeless philosophy of Pilates, the universal language of movement.
When the mind needs somewhere to land
Everything in this wing points, in the end, to the same place — the breath, and the nervous system beneath it. It is why I built SOVA: a quiet companion for the moments in between.
- Today — a daily practice that aligns you before the day pulls you a dozen directions.
- Companion — a place to process any feeling, even the happy ones.
- Pages — a soft place to set your thoughts down and out of your head.
- The House — rooms of calm to step into, whenever you need one.
