Movement · Gentle Movement
Neck & Shoulder Rolls
The Work · Move 3 of 8 · 5–6 each way

Why this one
We carry the hard days in the neck and shoulders. Small, slow circles loosen exactly where the tension gathers.
How to do it
Sitting or standing, roll your shoulders slowly back a few times. Then let your head drop softly and roll it, ear toward shoulder, from one side to the other.
Keep in mind
Slow and small. Never force the movement.
Every move: lightly lift your pelvic floor — a gentle lift, never a clench — and breathe slow and full (hold the stretches for about 5 easy breaths, at least 30 seconds). New to the lift? →
