Beginning again, without the overhaul.
January will try to sell you a whole new life by February. I have watched that cycle for nearly thirty years and I have never once seen it hold. What holds is small, specific and slightly boring. So this issue is about the first small thing, and how to pick one you will still be doing in March. Gina
Nothing changes in a weekend. It changes in the fourth week, when it stopped being interesting and you did it anyway.
Nobody comes in wanting it. It is one of the clearest markers of how the next decades go.

Make it smaller than feels worth doing. That is the whole trick, and everyone resists it. If it sounds impressive it is probably too big, because you chose it while feeling motivated, and motivation is not who shows up on a Tuesday in February. Pick the version you could do on your worst day: five minutes, one walk, water before coffee. Do it until it is boring. Boring is the goal, it means the thing has stopped requiring a decision. Then, only then, add the next one.

January hands every woman the same story. New year, new you, transform everything by spring.
It does not work, and it was never going to, because you are not a project to be completed. The thing you actually want is usually quieter and much more specific than a resolution, and you probably already know what it is.
The Leap is not a bigger version of a New Year plan. It is the opposite. One decision you have been avoiding, made properly, instead of twelve you will abandon.
