How Much to Prepare

How much to cook for one, two, or a family.

How much chicken? How much quinoa? Here’s a simple starting point — adjust to your week and your appetite.

For one

A little goes a long way. One protein, one grain, two or three trays of vegetables and a dressing will carry you through several days. Cook once, eat twice.

For two

Double the protein and grain; keep the vegetables varied. One session covers most of the week’s lunches and a few dinners.

For a family

Two proteins, two grains, and big trays of vegetables — roast extra, it disappears fast. Then let everyone build their own plate.

A Rough Guide

Ballpark amounts for a few days of lunches and a couple of dinners. No need to weigh anything — this is a feel, not a rule.

Gina’s take. Cook once, eat twice. Roast a little extra — leftovers are tomorrow’s head start. This pairs with the Set the Week guide and the Planner.
