Somewhere small enough to finish today. That sounds like a dodge and it is really the whole trick. Clutter is not about objects, it is about open loops, and an open loop takes something from you every time you walk past it. So close one. The drawer you rummage through every morning. The shelf where things go to expire. Ten minutes, done, finished. The relief you feel afterward is out of all proportion to the drawer, and that is the point. It is one less thing asking for you, and that is the part that carries into everything else.
