The part nobody photographs, where it actually gets built.
February is the honest month. The newness has worn off, the light has not come back yet, and whatever you started in January is either a habit now or a memory. This issue is for the middle, which is unglamorous and is also the only place anything real has ever been built. Gina
The middle is not a sign you chose wrong. It is just what most of the work looks like.
Why stillness makes it worse, and what to do in the months when moving is the last thing you want.

Completely, and it is usually a good sign rather than a bad one. Early on you feel everything because everything is new. Then your body adapts, which is the entire point, and the feeling flattens out. That is not it stopping. That is it working. This is the stretch where women quit, right before the changes that last start showing. Keep going, and if you need something to hold onto, look at what you can do now that you could not in October. Not how it feels. What you can do.

February is when it gets quiet. The resolutions are gone, the light has not returned, and nobody is watching whether you keep going.
This is the part that decides things. Not the beginning, which is easy and full of feeling. The middle, where it is only you and whatever you promised yourself.
It is also the honest place to ask whether the thing you are keeping up is the thing you actually want. The Leap is for the answer you already know.
