Keeping one small thing for yourself in the loudest month.
December is not restful for most women. It is a month of doing, and the quiet everyone talks about tends to arrive around January second. So this issue is not about slowing down, which is not on offer. It is about protecting one small thing that is yours, and letting the rest be loud. Gina

Whatever comes first in your day, before anyone can reach you. Not because mornings are magic, but because they are the only hours nobody has claimed yet. By ten the month owns you. December is loud, and it is very easy to disappear inside it. The month gives you a hundred reasons to put yourself last and calls every one of them generous.
But the woman who arrives at January hollowed out has not been generous. She has just been unavailable to herself for another year.
You do not have to fix that this month. You only have to notice you keep choosing it. The Leap begins there, with the noticing.
